About Me

I love hanging out, watching movies, and meeting great people. I am not so much into clubs anymore, maybe because I am mellowing out, but probably because I wake up so early during the week.

I am a vegetarian and I only consume dairy or eggs if it is in a baked item I currently cannot fight my craving for. I am working towards being a vegan.

I have 1 rats, 1 dog and 1 cat. My fiance and I live with our animals in a small apartment in Campbell.

I work at a biotech company answering tech support calls for our medical instruments. I need to get out more. Send me messages about mixers...bug me.

What I'm Here For

I'm here because work sucks and we all need a little something else.

Hey, Kim! can't believe you still come out. When you were at the mixer, I was probably doing some horseback riding in China. Did I miss some *big news*?!

yea happiness! :) :D as for the chocolate thing, im awaiting the final details form the organizer, since its a ways off :) but, basically, we'd do setup (putting out table clothes, staging booths for the restaurants, etc.), program folding and distibution or checking off guests, or their silent auction (monitoring bidding, and cancelling out won items) like we did last year. afterwards, we participate in the event, sampling the gourmet foods, wine, and of course, CHOCOLATE, while mingling with benefactors and watching the entertainment. its epicurious, slightly posh, and always fun. :) great views as well.

most importantly, its a fundraiser to benefit independent youth--life skills, job skills, housing, education, etc. i used to case manage the employment/job skills side of this process for 2 years with a partner organization. talk about a difference :) (and a long freaking post! haha)

Well, I don't believe in “Shock Value.” I don’t think shock has much Value. I think textures and images—grotesque or otherwise—make you think, and have value. Perhaps you think about this docile animal that many people love to eat; perhaps it invokes thoughts of anxiety and it’s ironic because of the cow, but if you put yourself in place of the cow, at least with me, I think of being mutilated by some maniac, suddenly and brutally, because I would never provoke anything where I’d deserve such treatment, much like a cow. The head is missing, and most people don’t think about eating cow heads (but cow brain and tongue are considered delicious by some), so sometimes that makes me contemplate the absence of consciousness, which in stressful situations would be nice, sometimes. The plant growing out of the cows rear-side is like the beast going through a metamorphosis. Boy, you know they say a picture says a thousand words, and that couldn’t be more relevant then with Lynch, but a Lynch film says waaaay more. You just have to contemplate and come up with your own interpretation, and you can't be wrong.

I'm glad you asked! It's a David Lynch sculpture/Installation piece. Isn't it wonderful!? You should join us for INLAND EMPIRE tomorrow evening at camera 12 if you're a Lynch fan...? :0)

Oh, yeah, then you definitely wouldn't want to stay away from soy--it can **** around with the thyroid. Thanks for the links! :) I guess you guys eat in a lot...cuz it was very difficult for me to go out when being a vegan!
